Elizabeth's Mission Trip to Ethiopia

My name is Elizabeth Beardsley, and I am campaigning to raise money so that I may serve in Ethiopia. 

I have been given the opportunity to serve those who need life essentials and, most importantly, who need God. “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace” 1 Peter 4:10

I want to use my time and your gracious giving to further God’s kingdom by working with Be There Ministries to contribute to several projects. We will be serving communities through orphan care, income-generating projects, sponsorship, and support for local churches. We also want to build relationships and tell about the Good News of Jesus Christ.

I specifically hope to use the gifts God has given me to help the local children, promote life and the truth of God, and help others in new ways. I hope to become a teacher after I graduate from Saginaw Valley State University, and so my heart aches for the children who do not know God or who worry about how to get their next meal. I want to use the areas that God has gifted me: teaching, music, fortitude, and compassion, to touch the lives of those we encounter.

The funds that are raised will go directly towards my plane ticket, housing, supplies, and other necessary expenses. I am so, so grateful for any donation. Every gift, small or large, or sharing my story, will help me focus on spiritually preparing for this trip and will maximize my participation in this opportunity.

Our mission trip takes place June 13th-23rd. I ask that you pray for me and the others going on this trip to support the important work that will be done in Ethiopia. Thank you so much for wanting to be a part of God’s calling on my heart.
