This June from the 21st through July 1st, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to help establish a new theological teaching location in partnership with World Hope Ministries International in the Korah community with our very own leaders and Pastors associated with Be There Ministries! This mission is especially meaningful because of the trusted relationship Be There Ministries has built over time with both the people we serve and with WHMI. Together, we are stepping into a calling that goes beyond a single trip—we are investing in leaders who will impact generations.
According to WHMI research, it is estimated, that globally 85% of pastors lack formal theological training. This is not just a statistic—it represents a real and urgent need. Without proper training, many church leaders are left unequipped to faithfully teach Scripture, leaving believers vulnerable to confusion, false teaching, and spiritual instability. The lack of trained leaders is truly a global crisis.
But there is hope.
Through this partnership, we are helping launch a new teaching location with the Institute that equips pastors and church leaders with essential theological training rooted in Scripture. Using the New Testament model found in 2 Timothy 2:2, this approach is designed not only to teach leaders, but to empower them to train others as well—creating a multiplying movement of strong, biblically grounded leadership through impactful discipleship.
One of the most meaningful aspects of this mission is that this training is offered completely free to those we serve! We never want cost to be a barrier for pastors and leaders who are hungry to grow and faithfully shepherd their communities. However, while the education is free for them, there are still real costs involved—travel for instructors, materials for the class attendees, and resources needed to establish and support this training.
This is more than education; it’s transformation. When leaders are equipped, churches grow stronger, communities are impacted, and people are guided toward a deeper, more abundant life in Jesus Christ.
I am asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this important and very specific mission. Your support will help cover travel, resources, and materials needed to make all of this possible. Every contribution, no matter the size, plays a part in equipping leaders who will shepherd God’s people faithfully.
Most importantly, I ask for your prayers—for safe travel, for open hearts, and for lasting fruit from this work.
