Get to know Corbin, our founder's nephew, and an amazing young man who's living with Cabalamin F Defect, a very rare disease. In fact, there are only 15 cases reported worldwide. Despite the challenges he faces, Corbin is all about purpose and making a difference. As an ambassador for Be There Ministries, he's inspiring others with his heart for serving those in need. Corbin is a Special Olympics multi-medal winner, an incredible fundraiser, a teammate, and a valued member of his church's media team. He also works full-time at a local restaurant and sponsors through Be There Ministries.
But what really drives him is his desire to help others. Corbin says, "I like to work and give, knowing I'm helping someone. I want people to join me, especially when they could look around just their bedroom and see how much we have that so many don't." He says he's blessed to have a bedroom, but he knows many don't have that same luxury.
Corbin's favorite verse, Matthew 7:13-14, motivates him to share God's love with others. After witnessing the impact of adoption on his own sister's life, he's dedicated to caring for orphans and vulnerable children, that they may know love and find eternal life through the narrow gate. We're launching the Corbin T. Wood Legacy Fund in his honor, and we hope you'll join us in making a difference.
One of Corbin's favorite songs is "Treasure of You" by Steven Curtis Chapman, and he wants others to know they're treasured by a God who loves them. He's also loving the movie "The Forge" and wants you to watch it and think about how you can make an impact. And when it comes to living out his faith, Corbin says, "No excuse, it's game time!"
