At Be There Ministries, our Discipleship and Biblical Studies Ministry exists to equip the local church with the relational, intimate model of discipleship modeled by Jesus Himself. We stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word, believing that a deep commitment to Scripture is the foundation for all true transformation.

  • Our Vision: To see the lost found and believers transformed into mature, biblically grounded followers, who reflect the person and work of Jesus Christ.

  • Our Mission: To train pastors, church leaders, and believers alike, to rightly handle the Word of Truth, equipping them to make disciples, strengthen local churches, and reach communities—both locally and around the globe—with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

When leaders are deeply rooted in the Bible and equipped to share its truth, entire communities change.

Invest in this mission today. Partner with us as we train and empower leaders to handle God’s Word with integrity, reach the lost, and build up the body of Christ.

Josh Perkins serves as the Director of Discipleship and Biblical Studies at Be There Ministries. Driven by a deep passion for spiritual growth, Josh strongly believes that true discipleship follows the model Jesus set—one that is personal, intimate, and relational. For years, he has actively walked this out by leading weekly discipleship groups, coming alongside individuals to deepen their knowledge of Christ and help them be transformed into His image.

At the core of Josh’s philosophy is a conviction that the local church is the primary engine for real community change. He believes that transformed communities begin with strong, biblically grounded individuals who are firmly rooted in their faith, fully equipped, and ready to engage the culture to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

His heart for making disciples extends from his local community to the international mission field. On a weekly basis, Josh actively ministers to children in foreign countries, discipling residents of boys and girls homes to ground the next generation in the Gospel and the love of God.

Josh holds a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing his PhD at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His doctoral studies focus on deepening his understanding of the person and work of Jesus Christ to sharpen his biblical expertise and better equip the Church.

At home, Josh is blessed to be married to his wonderful wife, Clarissa. Together, they are the loving parents of six God-given children, and their heart’s prayer is to see each of them used mightily for Christ and His Kingdom.
